History of SRB Longbeards continued

Sponsors:

1. $500 Conservation Education Scholarship awarded to a high school senior within our area.
   
   
2. We supply wild turkey education material to elementary schools within our area. 
   
   
3. 4-H Shooting Program – Activities in Ward, McHenry & Mountrail counties and NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program).
   
   
4. FFA conservation projects.
   
   
5. Annually donate trees for landowners and sportsmen to plant for wildlife habitat. 
   
   
6. Fund Cost/Share programs for wildlife food plots.
   
7. Outdoor activities for youth, women & physically challenged individuals including fishing derbies, hunting, and shooting skills training seminars. 
   
   
8. Projects for depredation prevention.
   
   
9. Turkey Hunters Care – SRBL raised over $3400 in 2009 to distribute 280 frozen turkeys to area food pantries through Community Action and other nonprofit organizations.
   
   
10. Created our own web-site in 2007 (srblongbeards.com).
