History of SRB Longbeards

A family oriented wildlife conservation organization trying to uphold the American Heritage (the right to hunt).

SRBL – Organized November 15, 2001

1. First NWTF Super Fund Banquet held February 3, 2002.
2. 4 founding members in 2001
3. 173 members in 2009

Youth Programs – JAKES (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics & Sportsmanship)

1. Co-partner annually with local 4-H groups sponsoring youth shooting skills day each August.
2. Co-partner annually with area wildlife groups sponsoring Minot area youth festival each September.

Women’s Programs – WITO (Women in the Outdoors)

1. Held our first women's shooting event on September 8, 2007. This qualified us to become a 5-star chapter with NWTF (The first in North Dakota)                     

Physically Challenged Programs – Wheelin’ Sportsmen.

1. Partner with Upper Souris National Wildlife Refuge on physically and mentally challenged fishing day annually.
